De Mamiel Brightening Cleansing Oil

de Mamiel Brightening Cleansing Oil is a beautiful, lightweight oil cleanser designed to revive skin with antioxidants as it calms and moisturizes. It might be one of our favorite oil-based cleansers yet. It’s also the perfect alternative to the best-selling de Mamiel Restorative Cleansing Balm: as creator Annee de Mamiel told us, “It’s a lighter option to use in warmer weather, or when you don’t need such a heavy cleanse — I love it in the morning or as a first step in a double cleanse.” 

Existing de Mamiel fans will notice that the Brightening Cleansing Oil is the new version of the brand’s Pure Calm Cleansing Dew (which we still love, and can still scoop one up; hurry, though, because once it’s gone, it’s gone). Like Pure Calm, the Brightening Cleansing oil was specifically designed to calm skin as it cleanses thanks to a 14-herb infusion of inflammation-quelling botanicals like yarrow, calendula, and nettle. But this new formula adds maca, Vitamin C, and Ferulic acid to promote smoother, brighter skin, and it turns more readily into a light milk for an even cleaner rinse-off.

Like all of de Mamiel’s beautiful products, the scent was specifically chosen to enhance its benefits, too. At its heart are blue tansy and cape chamomile, which impart grounding and calming properties while also inspiring a sense of movement; these two oils lend the formula its signature blue color, too, which makes using this product feel particularly special.

Ideal for city dwellers, those with irritated or inflamed skin, anyone noticing the effects of stress on their skin, and those seeking a lighter oil cleanser. It’s also great for shaving, and it can be used as a mini-mask for a few minutes before rinsing.

However you use it, this beautiful cleanser does what many cannot: it can calm and take down redness, while also helping to bring a sense of life back into the skin with a gentle yet noticeable glow. We don’t always love formula changes, but in this case, we’re all for it.
