Les Fleurs de Bach Fears Elixir was created by our friends at a wonderful little company based in Paris that is devoted to the preparation of the most effective Bach flower essences in the world (read about their exacting methods here). Bach flower essences were originally developed in the 1930s by Dr. Edward Bach, a British surgeon, homeopath, and bacteriologist. Reflecting Dr. Bach’s own medical background, these essences have been clinically proven to help balance emotions, thus allowing the body and mind to focus on healing themselves.

The founder of Les Fleurs de Bach, Gérard Wolf, created the Fears elixir because it is one that can speak to so many of us. He noted, during a recent conversation with Dara, “The French philosopher, Descartes, once wrote, ‘Common sense is the most well-distributed thing in the world…even those who are hardest to satisfy in all other matters don’t want more of it than they already have.’ But I’d argue that fears might be the most well-distributed thing in the world, actually.”

He added, “We all have different types of fears, and we experience them in different ways, but fear is one of the most primal and important emotions that we feel. Whether it paralyzes us or makes us flee, whether it is an immediate fear or something that is ingrained in us, it can hold us captive. The Fears Elixir is designed to help us free ourselves.”

Fears Elixir can be taken on an as-needed basis or for a longer period of time. As Gérard noted, “You can simply take it until the moment when you feel free. We have a natural adaptation to fears; for some of us, with certain circumstances, we may need to take it longer than others to help us manage them.”
