Ursa Major’s Brighten Up Vitamin C Serum was created when their team wanted to offer one perfect brightening, tightening serum to join their wonderfully edited lineup of products. Vitamin C was a natural choice for the key active ingredient: it’s a superhero in the battle against premature aging for its ability to fight free radicals, boost collagen production, and encourage a brighter, more even skin tone. There’s also good evidence that it limits the extent of sun damage.

In their search for a form of Vitamin C that would remain effective until the very last drop, Ursa Major found the ascorbic acid polypeptide they use in this formula, which looks to be one of the most stable forms of the ingredient. It’s often used at a 0.5% – 2% concentration; this formula uses 1.5% to provide the greatest benefit without irritation, which means that even delicate flowers can use this lovely formula. It also contains rose hip for extra dark spot fading power; edelweiss for extra antioxidant power; aspen bark for gentle exfoliation; rose and aloe to soothe; and sunflower seed oil, glycerin, and a touch of shea butter for extra hydration.
